Genesis 22:15. Then the Angel of God called again to Abraham from heaven.  ``I, the Lord, have sworn by myself that because you have obeyed me and have not withheld even your beloved son from me,   I will bless you with incredible blessings and multiply your descendants into countless thousands and millions, like the stars above you in the sky, and like the sands along the seashore. They will conquer their enemies,  and your offspring will be a blessing to all the nations of the earth--all because you have obeyed me.''

Hebrews 13:1-2 Continue to love each other with true brotherly love. Don't forget to be kind to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!

BELIEF Everyone believes something. The best way to know what a person believes is by watching how he acts. If he believes in God and treats people like the devil, Jesus had a word for him.

Matthew 5:18. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

Why should I believe the Bible it is just an old book!

DEMON A fallen angel who chose to take sides with Satan and rebel against Me with Satan. (See Satan)

1 Chronicles 16:25-26. For the Lord is great, and should be highly praised; He is to be held in awe above all gods. The other so-called gods are demons, But the Lord made the heavens. 

Mark 1:23. A man possessed by a demon was present and began shouting,  ``Why are you bothering us, Jesus of Nazareth--have you come to destroy us demons? I know who you are--the holy Son of God!''  Jesus curtly commanded the demon to say no more and to come out of the man.   At that the evil spirit screamed and convulsed the man violently and left him.  Amazement gripped the audience and they began discussing what had happened.  `What sort of new religion is this?'' they asked excitedly. ``Why, even evil spirits obey his orders!''

EVIL see SIN Anything that hurts My children whom I love.

Galatians 5:19. Let me tell you again as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control;

NOTE The difference between Belief and Faith: 

    BELIEF - I believe the boat will float.

    FAITH  - I jump in the boat and sail to the other shore.

James 2:18-19 Show me your faith without deeds and I will show you my faith by what I do. You believe that there is one God? Good. Even demons believe that - and shudder.

Romans 8:14. because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of son-ship. And by him we cry, "Daddy, Father."  The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.

GOOD Anything that demonstrates true LOVE in action and is part of My nature.

Psalm 34:8. Taste and see that the LORD is GOOD; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.  Fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing. The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no GOOD thing.  Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.  Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies. Turn from evil and do GOOD; seek peace and pursue it.

HAPPINESS see Joy

HATE (to Despise) To wish evil on someone else. It is demonstrated by taking rather than giving. Taking what you want from others no matter how much it hurts them or what it costs them (The opposite of LOVE).

Proverbs 14:21. He who despises his neighbor sins, but blessed is he who is kind to the needy.

1 John 2:9-10 9. Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness. Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble. But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness; he does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded him.

HEAVEN (My place) A very phat place to hang... Where you definitely want to go when you die.

Or thirsty and give you anything to drink?  Or a stranger, and help you? Mark 9:43-49 ``If your hand does wrong, cut it off. Better live forever with one hand than be thrown into the unquenchable fires of hell with two!  If your foot carries you toward evil, cut it off! Better be lame and live forever than have two feet that carry you to hell. ``And if your eye is sinful, gouge it out. Better enter the Kingdom of God half blind than have two eyes and see the fires of hell,  where the worm never dies, and the fire never goes out--where all are salted with fire.

JESUS That's My boy.

Isaiah 9:6-7. For unto us a Child is born; unto us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder. These will be his royal titles: ``Wonderful,'' ``Counselor,'' ``The Mighty God,'' ``The Everlasting Father,'' ``The Prince of Peace.''  His ever-expanding, peaceful government will never end. John 3:16 "For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his son into the world to condemn it but to save it.

JOY "Being able to be happy and at peace in your heart no matter how rough life gets."

Psalms 1 Oh, the joys of those who do not follow evil men's advice, who do not hang around with sinners, scoffing at the things of God: But they delight in doing everything God wants them to, and day and night are always meditating on his laws and thinking about ways to follow him more closely. They are like trees along a river bank bearing luscious fruit each season without fail. Their leaves shall never wither, and all they do shall prosper. But for sinners, what a different story! They blow away like chaff before the wind. They are not safe on Judgment Day; they shall not stand among the godly. For the Lord watches over all the plans and paths of godly men, but the paths of the godless lead to doom.

LIFE What I give every person once. What you do with it is up to you. What are you going to do with yours?

Hebrews 9:2-28. Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment,  so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

LOVE  Giving your best to someone else no matter what it costs you. Not demanding your own way but putting someone else's needs and desires ahead of your own.

John 15:13. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

Matthew 5:44-46. But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?

Thy word have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against You. Psalm 119:11

MERCY What you DO want to ask for on Judgment Day. 

Psalm 25:4-9. Show me the path where I should go, O Lord; point out the right road for me to walk.  Lead me; teach me; for you are the God who gives me salvation. I have no hope except in you. Overlook my youthful sins, O Lord! Look at me instead through eyes of mercy and forgiveness, through eyes of everlasting love and kindness. The Lord is good and glad to teach the proper path to all who go astray; 

Ephesians 2:4-5. But God is so rich in mercy; he loved us so much  that even though we were spiritually dead and doomed by our sins, he gave us back our lives again when he raised Christ from the dead--only by his undeserved favor have we ever been saved--

ADVANCED USERS NOTE:  "MERCY" is the name of the lid on the "Ark of the Covenant" Remember "Raiders of the Lost Ark"? 

Exodus 25:16. When the Ark is finished, place inside it the tablets of stone I will give you, with the Ten Commandments engraved on them. ``And make a lid of pure gold, 3 and 3/4 feet long and 2 and 1/4 feet wide. This is the place of mercy for your sins.  Then make two statues of Guardian Angels using beaten gold, and place them at the two ends of the lid of the Ark.  They shall be one piece with the mercy place, one at each end. The Guardian Angels shall be facing each other, looking down upon the place of mercy, and shall have wings spread out above the gold lid. 

(By the way you don't ever want that lid to come off and face my "Law" (The Ten Commandments)  without "Mercy" to cover you. You could get burned. Remember what happened in the movie? What happened in the movie would be an understatement.)

OMNISCIENT  Been there , Know that. I am the original know-it-all.

Psalm 139 1-17. O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me.  You know when I sit or stand. When far away you know my every thought.   You chart the path ahead of me, and tell me where to stop and rest. Every moment, you know where I am.   You know what I am going to say before I even say it.   You both precede and follow me, and place your hand of blessing on my head. This is too glorious, too wonderful to believe!  I can never be lost to your Spirit! I can never get away from my God!  If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the place of the dead, you are there.  If I ride the morning winds to the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, your strength will support me. If I try to hide in the darkness, the night becomes light around me.  For even darkness cannot hide from God; to you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are both alike to you.  You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body, and knit them together in my mother's womb.  Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! It is amazing to think about. Your workmanship is marvelous--and how well I know it.  You were there while I was being formed in utter seclusion!  You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in your Book!  How precious it is, Lord, to realize that you are thinking about me constantly! I can't even count how many times a day your thoughts turn towards me. And when I waken in the morning, you are still thinking of me!

PEACE (Shalom) "What you get when you live life My Way!"

Psalm 37:11. But all who humble themselves before the Lord shall be given every blessing, and shall have wonderful PEACE. The Lord is laughing at those who plot against the godly, for he knows their judgment day is coming.

Romans 2:9. There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; but glory, honor and PEACE for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

PROPHET (not Profit) Even though that's what some so called modern day prophets seem to be in it for. (See Televangelist)

TELEVANGELIST Don't get Me on that subject!

PRAY  Just talk to Me. It doesn't matter where or when. I Am everywhere, I Am always awake and I really do care about what's going on in your life.

Jeremiah 33:3. `Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.' 

Phillipians 4:6-7a. Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs and don't forget to thank him for his answers. If you do this you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand.

PREY (to be distinguished from "PRAY")  This is what some phony Religious TV Celebrities and Cult leaders do. Instead of PRAYING for my people they PREY on them like wolves. Instead of feeding my flock they FLEECE my flock demanding money in exchange for my blessings. Don't buy it. (They've given me and my boy a bad name. Don't worry I have a little surprise waiting for them.)

RELIGION Your creative attempts to get right with me by imaginative rituals, exercises, self torture etc.. When I have already done all the really hard work for you. Instead of trying to guess what I want from you why not read my "bestseller" the Bible and let me get our RELATIONSHIP started on the right foot.

Note: The word "religion" appears no where in the Old Testament and the only place where it is described in the New Testament is in the following verse:

James 1:27. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

RELATIONSHIP (the opposite of RELIGION) My effort to get you right with Me, by My hard work love and persistence.

Isaiah 65:1-2. "I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me; I was found by those who did not seek me. To a nation that did not call on my name, I said, `Here am I, here am I.' All day long I have held out my hands to an obstinate people, who walk in ways not good, pursuing their own imaginations--

RESPECT (honor) To treat others the way you would like to be treated.

Leviticus 19:32. "`Rise in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God. I am the LORD. "`When an alien lives with you in your land, do not mistreat him.  The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born. Love him as yourself, for you were aliens in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

Matthew 19:18-19 Jesus replied, "`Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,' and `love your neighbor as yourself.' "

SATAN (Lucifer the Angel of Light) An angel who thought he was bigger than "I AM" and convinced thousands of angels to join him in a rebellion against Me. ((Note: he lost! He now has only one power: to tempt people like you to make his same stupid mistake and reject their loving Creator and give up all the blessings I have stored up for you. He does this by trying to make Me look like the bad guy - You decide who's telling the truth.

Isaiah 14:12-18. How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground--mighty though you were against the nations of the world. For you said to yourself, ``I will ascend to heaven and rule the angels. I will take the highest throne. I will preside on the Mount of Assembly far away in the north.   I will climb to the highest heavens and be like the Most High.''   But instead, you will be brought down to the pit of hell, down to its lowest depths. Everyone there will stare at you and ask, ``Can this be the one who shook the earth and the kingdoms of the world?   Can this be the one who destroyed the world and made it into a shambles and demolished its greatest cities and had no mercy on his prisoners?''  The kings of the nations lie in stately glory in their graves, but your body is thrown out like a broken branch; it lies in an open grave, covered with the dead bodies of those slain in battle. It lies as a carcass in the road, trampled and mangled by horses' hoofs.

SIN Disobeying My Commandments. Any act that doesn't demonstrate true love. (a very unpopular word in modern society. The last I heard they were thinking of removing it from the dictionary because a Death Row Inmate was offended by its presence in the prison library.)

Psalm 119:9-11. How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word.  I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
