What
my Word says about being good...
There
are a lot of misconceptions floating around down there. I'd
like to clear some of them up for you so let's start with
this one.
The
misconception here is that you can get to "my place" (ie:
heaven) by leading a "good" life, or being a "good" person.
I'm sorry to have to break this to you, but that's just not
true. The fact is that there is NOTHING that you can do on
your own to get to heaven. You can't do enough good deeds,
feed enough hungry, attend enough church services or even
donate enough money to get to my place.
With
that said, you're probably wondering "how then DO I get to
live in heaven with you?" Well, before I answer that, I first
want you to know that there is nothing more I want then to
spend all of eternity with you. What loving father doesn't
want to spend all of forever with his children? So I came
up with a plan so that we CAN be together forever. A plan
so perfect in its simplicity that many of you down there just
can't believe it. Yes, the plan was simple, but make no mistake...it
cost me dearly.
It
cost me the life of my beloved Son, Jesus. But trust me, you
are worth the price. And all you have to do is believe that
Jesus died for your inability to be good on your own. Then
turn to Him and ask Him to lead you from now on.
How
simple is that? I've told you before and I'll tell you again-and
again-and again-I love you,I love you,I love you. If you haven't
accepted my free gift, won't you now consider what my Son
has done for you? While you do, I'll get your room ready!
