Our psalm/poetry contest is over but the forum remains open and we'll continue to highlight a submission a week for our friends who may not visit the Fellowship Forum regularly.  We hope that you are as touched as we have been by the hearts of these people...people just like you...

More Than A Name  by Jordi in our Fellowship Forums

For decades hung like taffy
I've waited
for a love like this
so whole, divine
so unique, so mine

It's is who I am
who I was meant to be
it has why I wake
and why I sleep
it holds me together
and keeps me sane
it's a love that knows
more than my name

It formed my heart
created my deepest desire
it planned my days
before existance was fashioned

before a thought conceived
or a dream dreamed
I was someone's fantasy

I want to take the time to tell you about a situation in our lives. We have adopted some children that have been severely abused. Our first child came into our home with 8 fractures, busted collar bone, shaken till they had brain hemeraging, had been submerged in hot water, and was failure to thrive. Our second child that came into our home, had rickets, smashed hand, a fractured rib, and also was failure to thrive. Both of these children was under five years of age. I am so glad that you take the time to care and help the forgotten children in this world. God loves them so much. And he never has forgotten one of them. God will bless you abundantley. Thank you and God bless you..
- Robert and Jamie

Thank God for the both of you!! Opening your home and rescuing those children from a life of abuse is clearly putting into action the teachings of Jesus!! You all will be in our prayers. - GS

God uses his words to communicate with us daily. If we don't take time to arm ourselves with the Sword, then how are we to go to the front lines for Him. These billboards give me conviction that I need step up my efforts quite a bit more. Thx. - Kimberly

How right you are Kimberly Each of us must put on his or her armor everyday for the battle is raging around us! But know this...the war has already been won! It was won when Jesus came back to life after being dead for three days! Woo hoo!! - GS

Hi, I am 13 and am very close to God. I think that you should have like question and answer sessions. People could e-mail questions and you could post the questions and their answers. I have a question to start you guys off. My friends start to think I am weird when I talk about God. What should I tell them? Thanks and God Bless. - Shawn

Hi Shawn! We offer several ways to get questions answered. We have a bulliten board called the Fellowship Forum where questions are asked and answered. We also have a weekly Bible study on Sunday nights at 10:00pm EST. And, of course, if anyone wants to e-mail us a question, we will answer that as well.

As for your friends, I think it's great that you have the courage to speak about God around them even though they think you're weird. You're in good company because I am sure that everyone in the land thought Noah was weird building an ark on dry land! I would ask them how they would feel if you were ashamed to say that they were your friend. They probably wouldn't like that. The same goes for God. You like to talk about how great your friends are and God is your friend just like them. That's what I'd tell them! God bless you Shawn and keep seeking His face my friend!.- GS

I think the billboards are wonderful!!!!! I hope they never go away. Everytime I see one I stop and pause to evaluate myself to see if I am doing what God wants me to do. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS!- Jane

That's wonderful Jane. If only we ALL took the time to conduct a little sef-evaluation using Jesus as the measuring stick. We'd see how much we need Him!- GS

As a non-religious yet very spiritual person who has a relationship with God, I was immediately impressed by the common-sense application used in the advertising campaign!!! God, as I have come to know Him, is always speaking in "laymens terms" and I have often given testimony to God as a voice that speaks my language...how simple the word of God!!
Keep up the fantastic work!! Sincerely- Su

That's the way to use God's Book Julia!! Sharing it with others!! You are sooooo blessing us!! Thanks! - GS

First I'd like to say that this site has been of a tremendous blessing. God Bless everyone that makes this site possible.I also wanted to share something that the Lord spoke to my life early one morning. He said to me "Let me choose who you are" WOW. Never taught I'd hear God's voice so audible. So things change for the good. This is how it goes I choose to let God choose who I am, simple as that. Instead of fear there is now peace, a great feeling. Thank you Jesus -Denys

I agree! WOW!! That's a great message to hear and an even better one to listen to! Thanks for writing and God bless Denys!! - GS
